I've never been especially girly, but this weekend I'm getting an insight into how it would be to have 3 sons!My nephew Josh (12 going on 21) is staying with us.

My younger brother has 3 children from a previous marriage, and I've been on some kind of 'I love you Ju/Drop dead Ju' rotation with each of them for the past 9 years. It's a bit like growing asparagus - I have no control over how they feel about me (much less their Dad though strangely the adulterous slut that is their mother is apparently an angel...) and it takes years and years to see any breakthrough. So for the past 3 years I have been on good terms with the eldest daughter, who now, for no reason associated with me ' never wants to see you again' It might be the lecture about unprotected sex in fields with multiple unknown penises that did it - she is only 15 and I did swear quite alot.

Ahem. So she's off the scene - which means no trips to river island or top shop which is a good thing as frankly I wonder that they don't offer me a zimmer frame when I set through the door.

Daughter 2 is apparently an 'emo' I have heard this second hand, not having seen her for 4 years because 'she hates you', and now that I understand it isn't a kind of large bird I am probably ok about not seeing her. She has no axe to grind with me - other than the one her mother gifted her. Maybe one day she will see that provided she isn't having unprotected sex at 15 in fields with multiple penises I'm a pretty cool person to know (ok ok not cool then)

And finally we have the boy - my brother's son who having been just 3 when his sluttish mother ran off with another bloke has never really had the chance to learn about the other bit of his family. Having ignored his father for 7 years, he is now slowly finding that he wants to know him. And me as well. To be fair there isn't much family to get round on our side, it can't be too exhausting really there's only a few of us most of the clan is dead (harsh but true)

So, young lad Josh is a mighty fine boy and staying with us which has delighted my boys. Finally, a boy who can play xbox and wii and not then tell them to go to bed.

This does not mean by the way that I want 3 boys. Oh no. It's just interesting.

Went round the new almost built house yesterday - chose kitchen and flooring for bathrooms in about 4 seconds and felt a little rushed. Not sure it should be like that, but then again, perhaps a long lingering day poring over tiles and worktops would have made me write a scathing blog about how some poeple have no life.

Fingers crossed then I didn't choose anything too, er gross.
